The North Rampart Community Center (NRCC) is looking for volunteers who can assist with the daily activities in all of our program needs. These activities range from helping program participants with homework to playing games in the gym. Interested in running a volleyball team or possibly a synchronized swimming class? The NRCC is always looking for new and innovated ways to enhance our programming.

The NRCC is also looking for responsible and committed adults to participate in our mentoring program. Slightly different than our volunteer program, mentors are asked to commit to one hour and a half long session per week or a span of eight months.

Requirements & Responsibilities


-Assist with ongoing programs & daily activities.

-Ensure safety of youth through supervision of area

-Portray positive a role model for program participants by maintaining and attitude of respect, patience, courtesy & understanding.

-Sustained enthusiasm and commitment to working with youth is key.

-If working with aquatics, lifeguard certification is preferable.

-Completion of volunteer application and clearance on CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information) forms.

-Work with program participants one on one or in a group setting to provide mentoring services.

-Minimum of requirement of one hour per week for twelve weeks (for volunteering) or one hour per week for eight months (for mentoring).
